California // Happy Hollow Farm & San Pedro Square Market

After Napa and San Francisco, we spent the rest of our trip with the rest of the family. After Napa and San Francisco, we spent the rest of our trip with the rest of the family. Happy Hollow Park & Zoo is a mini zoo and amusement park located in San Jose, California. It is peachy perfect for kids between 2-7 years old. It ain't no Disneyland but it's charming in its own little way.

For lunch, we had pizza and poke bowls at San Pedro Square Market. This was absolutely perfect, the San Pedro Square Market at Downtown San Jose is pretty much like a speciality food court, replete with communal spaces and interesting eats from tacos to craft beer. It is a great place for groups with various taste preferences.

We DIY-ed a couple of poke bowls from Coast Poke Counter, made with responsibly sourced sushi grade fish. Pizza and poke bowls are two of my favourite food groups so this meal was totally up my alley.I just love how fresh and filling poke is.

We also shared a few pizzas from Pizza Bocca Lupo. This pizzeria was started by a native Neapolitan who was trained in Naples, Italy by one of the first pizzerias to be VPN (Verace Pizza Napoletana) certified. Pizza is such a simple dish so there isn't anywhere to hide if your ingredients are less than stellar.
